Lettuce wraps are the easiest, quickest meal you could ever make and stuff your face with without feeling any kind of guilt as they are very low in carbs.
- 1 cup water
- 500g chicken strips
- 1 tsp minced garlic
- 1 small onion, sliced
- 1 tomato, sliced
- cheese, sliced/grated
- lettuce leaves
- salt and black pepper to taste
Plunge strips into salted water, stir in garlic and cook over medium heat until cooked through. Season with pepper. (You can fry your strips if you like).
To serve, spoon several tablespoons of the strips into the centre of a lettuce leaf, shwarma-style and add sliced onions, tomatoes and cheese.
