Okaaay…I posted this photo on one of the social media cooks groups, the purpose was to share the Olive & Mushroom Mac-Salata, but instead, people kept asking for my beef curry recipe. This is one of my favs curry recipes. You wiill come to realize how easy it is to make such a flavourful curry dish.
- 1 kg steak, cut it into cubes
- garlic & herb spice
- black pepper
- 2tsp curry paste masala
- 4 tbsp plain yoghurt
- 4-5 tbsp olive oil
- 2 large onions, finely chopped
- 2 tsp minced garlic
- 5 tbsp tomato sauce
- handful curry leaves
- 4 tsp paprika
Cut the beef into cubes, put it into a bowl and season with garlic & herb and pepper. Add curry paste masala, plain yoghurt and a good dash of olive oil, season and toss to coat. Cover with cling wrap and marinate for as long as possible.
Heat olive oil. Add the onions, garlic and a little seasoning followed by paprika, stir, then cover and cook for 6-8 minutes or until onions are soft, lifting the lid to give the mixture a stir a few times.
Now add the beef to the onions along with curry leaves, stir over a medium-high heat for a few minutes. Cover the pot with a lid, stirring occasionally, cook until the meat is tender. And then add tomato sauce, stir and cook for 5 more minutes.
